About
Living dimply is being happy living simply.
It’s knowing what you need and not wanting what you don’t need. It’s about moderation, and making positive changes that don’t involve the accumulation of material goods or the needless wasting of money or resources.
It’s about looking at the big picture and realizing that you don’t need to buy what everyone else buys, and you don’t need to do what everyone else does in order to be happy.
It’s a way of life that fell out of fashion, but is making a comeback. It’s living within our means, buying only what we can afford right now, and taking the time to enjoy our lives instead of enjoying our things.
It’s about spending money in a way which makes sense so that we can get what we need and still have some room to buy the things that make life more comfortable. It’s about making corrections in your life that will last longer than the next little while.
In order to live simply and be happy, it’s important to be able to see through all of the lies and illusions that we’re exposed to every day. Sometimes this requires a difficult examination of the world, and sometimes it requires a hard look at ourselves.
Join me on a journey through the world of creative frugality, where you are a real person — not a consumer. It’s the road less travelled, but it’s also the road to freedom and happiness.
